Is Disneyland Paris located close to Paris?
Not really. Disneyland Paris is actually located in Marne-la-Vallée, a town about 20 miles east of Paris. The drive from central Paris to Disneyland takes about 45–50 minutes. That’s one of the reasons why so many guests prefer to book official Disneyland resorts or partner hotels, since they are much closer to the park entrances.
Are the Disneyland Paris Resorts located close to the theme parks?
Yes! In fact, most Disneyland Paris resorts are within walking distance of the theme parks, taking anywhere from 2 to 20 minutes on foot. Only one is located farther away, but it’s still just a 15-minute drive from the main gates. Being that close is definitely one of the biggest advantages of staying at a Disneyland Paris resort.
What is a Disneyland Partner Hotel?
Disneyland Partner Hotels are hotels that don’t officially belong to Disney but have received Mickey’s thumbs up for their top-tier service, and also offer guest perks related to Disneyland Paris. While they aren’t within walking distance of the theme parks, they’re still only a short 10-15 minute drive from Disneyland. They are usually cheaper than the official Disneyland hotels and also offer free shuttle service to and from Disneyland Paris.
What are the perks of staying at a Disneyland Paris Resort or Partner Hotel?
Glad you asked! Staying at a Disneyland Paris Resort or Partner Hotel gives you several perks, but they’re not the same. The main difference is that the official resorts let you enter the theme parks one hour before the gates officially open, a perk not available at Partner Hotels.
First, let’s go over the perks you get when staying at an official Disneyland Paris Resort:
- Early entry to Disneyland Paris parks is available. Times may vary, but you can usually enter the park up to one hour before the official opening. The duration and which Disney parks participate in this perk are subject to change during what’s called Extra Magic Time.
- Free parking at your hotel and Disney parks.
- Meet & Greets at your hotel.
- Free shuttle to/from theme parks (except Disney Davy Crockett Ranch)
- Usually, the hotels are within walking distance of the theme parks, ranging from 2 to 20 minutes (except Disney Davy Crockett Ranch).
And the Disneyland Partner Hotels perks:
- Free Shuttle Service to/from Disneyland Paris.
- Only a short 10-20 minute drive from Disneyland Paris
- Free Parking at Disneyland Paris

What is the best Disneyland Paris Resort?
That’s a very subjective question, but we’ll try to give our opinion. The best Disneyland Paris resort is, objectively speaking, the Disneyland Hotel. It’s located right next to the gates, offers special meet-and-greets and character dining, and was recently renovated in January 2024. It’s the best of the best but, of course, also the most expensive by a large margin. If money isn’t an issue, or if you’re looking for a top-tier vacation experience, the Disneyland Hotel should definitely be considered.
Our next choices would be Disney Hotel Cheyenne, Disney Sequoia Lodge, and Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. Disney Hotel Cheyenne is great for kids, thanks to its fun Wild West theme, but it doesn’t have a pool. Disney Sequoia Lodge offers a cozy, rustic atmosphere and a pool, making it ideal for families who want to relax a little bit.
Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel, on the other hand, is a great midstep if you are looking for luxury and some great perks, like special meet & greets, some awesome restaurants and a place that it’s still a short 10 minute walk from the parks.
Disneyland Hotel
The Disneyland Hotel is the best Disney hotel at Disneyland Paris, and with that comes a hefty price tag that can reach or surpass $1,000 per night during the holiday season. This recently renovated hotel features a large swimming pool, character dining restaurants, a spa, and special meet-and-greets where children can meet Disney princesses. The overall theme celebrates Disney royalty, and one of the best perks is that it’s the only Disneyland Paris resort located right by the parks, just a two-minute walk away.
Disney Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel
A very American-style hotel located just a 10-minute walk from the theme parks, Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel is all about, you guessed it, superheroes. It features a lobby that hosts the world’s largest collection of superhero artwork, with over 350 original works by 110 international artists. This hotel also includes special meet-and-greets with Marvel characters, a kids’ club where children can learn to draw their favorite heroes, on-site dining, a pool, and a spa.
Disney Newport Bay Club
This is the largest hotel at Disneyland Paris, featuring a nautical theme similar to Disney’s Yacht Club and located just a 15-minute walk from the theme parks. One of the hotel’s best perks is that it has both indoor and outdoor heated pools, and Disney characters often roam the grounds wearing nautical outfits.
Disney Sequoia Lodge
Disney Sequoia Lodge is a rustic, nature-themed hotel at Disneyland Paris, perfect for those looking to relax. It also features two heated pools - one indoor and one outdoor - and one of the pools even has a small slide for children.
Disney Hotel Cheyenne
This is one of the best hotels for families with children at Disneyland Paris, featuring a Wild West and Toy Story–themed décor, where even the Starbucks resembles an Old West bank. The resort offers meet-and-greets with Woody and Jessie, and even pony rides for children, but unfortunately, it doesn’t have a swimming pool.
Disney Hotel Santa Fe
Disney Santa Fe is inspired by Route 66 and Cars, and is one of the most budget-friendly options at Disneyland Paris. We don’t recommend this hotel for a few basic reasons. First, the rooms do not have air conditioning, which makes it a no-go when summer approaches. Second, there aren’t many activities, and the hotel has no swimming pools.
Disney Davy Crockett Ranch
Davy Crockett Ranch is one of the most unique hotels at Disneyland Paris. It doesn’t offer shuttle service and is located farther from the theme parks, but it’s an excellent choice for those seeking peace and quiet. The rooms are woodland cabins with small kitchens and space for up to six guests, making them ideal for families. There’s also plenty to do here, including mini-golf, a tennis court, a playground, an arcade, and a swimming pool. It’s definitely a great place to stay for those who can drive to the parks, although Uber is also an option.
The Disneyland Paris Partner Hotels
There are seven partner hotels at Disneyland Paris. These hotels are often less expensive than the official Disneyland Resorts, and all of them offer free shuttles to and from the theme parks. While you don’t get the early entry perk, they are still excellent options if you want to save money and enjoy the Disney magic.
We are going to list their names, average price for a night during February, and how close they are to the Disney parks.
- Hôtel l’Elysée Val d’Europe (9.0; $190; 10 min drive away from parks)
- Staycity Aparthotels Paris, Marne-La-Vallée (8.9; $150; 10 min drive away from parks)
- Ki Space Hotel & Spa (8.8; $230; 15 min drive away from parks)
- Aparthotel Adagio Val d'Europe (7.3; $110; 10 min drive away from parks)
- B&B Hotel (7.7; $150; 10 min drive away from parks)
- Campanile Val de France (7.7; $120; 10 min drive away from parks)
- Explorers Fabulous Hotels Group (7.4; $230; 10 min drive away from parks)
