LEGOLAND Florida

Winter Garden, Florida

Did you know that LEGOLAND Florida is one of the best theme parks in the world for young children?

We are talking about an underrated destination that brings everything you want in a theme park for younglings and families. LEGOLAND has tons of unique attractions, it rarely feels crowded and tickets are far more affordable than the competition. That is probably reason enough to check it out, with one big bonus. The rides are actually pretty great.

LEGOLAND Florida has roller coasters, motion simulators, shows, meet and greets and even a water park located inside the resort. There is a lot to see and do, and lines are rarely longer than twenty minutes. Most of the time, you just stroll right inside. Yes, friends, it is true, a theme park where waiting in line for more than one hour is actually a distant dream.

This theme park is a great choice for children aged three to ten, even more so as a first time experience before they move on to big roller coasters and more thrilling rides at Disney World or Universal Orlando. Seriously, some kids put LEGOLAND Florida shoulder to shoulder with Magic Kingdom when it comes to their favorite parks.

LEGOLAND Florida is located about forty five minutes from Walt Disney World and downtown Tampa, and you should definitely go there at least once if you have the time. The resort features more than fifty five attractions designed specifically for kids, plus the nearby Peppa Pig Theme Park. Peppa Pig Theme Park is more like an add on to LEGOLAND Florida, featuring gentle, small rides that are great for even younger children, aged one to five.

Just do not go to LEGOLAND Florida expecting the next VelociCoaster or Tower of Terror. Most attractions here do not have a height requirement, and even those that do are considered pretty tame. There are roller coasters, but they are more like The Barnstormer and Slinky Dog Dash than Space Mountain.

There are also three hotels that are part of LEGOLAND Florida. You can find the LEGOLAND Hotel and Pirate Island Hotel, both located just steps from the park entrance, and LEGOLAND Beach Retreat, which opens seasonally and offers a more cozy setting. All hotels include free breakfast, Wi-Fi, self parking, pools and kid friendly rooms with separate sleeping areas for your children. They also have LEGO souvenirs and building areas. Relax. Your bed is not made out of LEGO. That would hurt a lot.

LEGOLAND might still be niche, but let us tell you that it is a great destination for families with young children. It truly deserves your time, and a weekend there at one of their hotels is a great chance to check out everything the theme parks have to offer and maybe even take a dip in their LEGO pools. Our guides are here to help you with rides, ticket prices, hotels and much more.

Bring your children here. They are going to love it.
