We know. When you think of Ritz-Carlton, you mostly think about luxurious, fancy hotels across the world, right? What if we told you that Ritz-Carlton took that idea and decided to bring it to the Atlantic? Well, they did just that. Ritz-Carlton Yachts is a fairly recent cruise line that launched in 2022 and has only three yachts so far. Each one is a little bit different from the other, as they became slightly bigger and with more things to do onboard. Ritz-Carlton is watching. They are learning. And they already have some of the most intimate and best yachts in the industry.

The main feature of Ritz-Carlton Yachts is their Marina, a concept that also exists in Windstar. The Marina is basically a watersports platform at the stern of the ship that gives you direct access to the sea. The Marina only opens when the yachts anchor at sea, and has tons of lounges at sea level, chairs and places to let you relax. Crew members also lend you kayaks, snorkeling equipment and a bunch of toys so you can turn the sea into your own private beach. As you will see in our guides, the Marina on Ritz-Carlton Yachts is the best in the industry, and definitely deserves your time.

Ultra-luxury here comes in many forms. Every stateroom is a suite with a private balcony, starting at 294 square feet plus at least 56 square feet of veranda space. Your room also has king-sized beds, espresso machines, a minibar, 24-hour room service and a personal concierge service. They don’t offer exactly what we call a private butler, but you just need a quick call to your concierge and they will help you in any way you need.

Another great perk of Ritz-Carlton Yachts is that they offer a ton of short itineraries, especially in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. It’s common for a lot of ultra-luxury cruise lines to just offer 7 to 14 day cruises, but Ritz-Carlton has a lot of 3 to 4 day cruises. That’s great, since a lot of people don’t have the time to stay away for more than a week. They may need to work, visit Disney World or, well, have ten other cruises in the coming months. Whatever the reason, short itineraries are very welcome, and are also an excellent choice for honeymooners and those looking to renew their vows.

Entertainment is what you’d expect from an ultra-luxury cruise line. There are piano bars, lectures and a few live shows, but that’s about it. That’s another reason why so many people love the short itineraries: you can really enjoy the experience, and never get bored with the limited options available onboard.

Ritz-Carlton is fairly new to the cruise world, but it has already made a strong impact. Their ships are brand new, dining onboard is good and they have some of the most special places in cruising, like the beautiful Marina. If you want an intimate ultra-luxury cruise and are looking for a romantic moment with the love of your life, then they are an excellent choice. That’s definitely a 5-star hotel at sea, with the bonus perk of being surrounded by the ocean.
