This is the most peaceful and affordable of the three Sandals Resorts in Saint Lucia, and a great choice for couples looking for a romantic vacation surrounded by nature. And you know what's even better? You can visit the other two resorts for free!

Sandals Halcyon Beach offers several rooms where you can often pay less than $300 a night, which is a really big deal considering you are in a very niche destination that is becoming increasingly popular. The best perk is that you get complimentary shuttles that move around all three Sandals Resorts on the island, so you can enjoy the best beach at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, have dinner at Regency La Toc and then come back to your room late at night.

This resort is famous for palm trees everywhere. The lush greenery is beautiful and adds to the quiet atmosphere. Halcyon Beach also features what Sandals calls the longest swimming pool in the Caribbean, which is funny considering that one of the smallest Sandals Resorts has one of the biggest pools.

Major renovations in 2023 brought 20 brand new villa rooms plus five Rondoval suites. These modern rooms feel brand new, with some featuring private swimming pools and sitting right in front of the beach. Staying in a great room here is actually a smart idea, since you can spend the day exploring the other resorts and come back later to your comfy bed.

The beach here is nice with golden sand and calm, shallow water since it is protected from the Atlantic on the western side. Like all Saint Lucia beaches, it is public so there is a good chance you will find vendors sooner or later. A polite “no thank you” sends them along. The beach is not as great as the one at Sandals Grande St. Lucian, and that is where the free transportation becomes very useful.

The free shuttles are a lifesaver. With them, you get access to 27 total restaurants across all three Saint Lucia properties. Halcyon Beach has only six on site restaurants so you will probably want to have lunch or dinner somewhere else at least a few times. Halcyon is also located in the center between Regency La Toc and Grande St. Lucian, and it usually takes 15 to 30 minutes to reach one of them.

Golf fans also enjoy complimentary green fees and short transfers to Cap Estate Golf and Country Club. However, entertainment and activities are limited inside Halcyon. This is a resort for some pool time and to act as a home base, and you should visit the other properties if you want shows or more water activities.

In the end, Sandals Halcyon Beach is a great option for couples that want to visit Saint Lucia and use the resort to explore the island. The pools are awesome, but the sister resorts offer more dining options and things to do. Still, there is nothing better than coming back late at night, surrounded by palm trees, to enjoy a peaceful and romantic time in beautiful Saint Lucia.
