The good news is that Sandals Royal Plantation is actually fairly affordable when you look at all the other options around the Caribbean. Sometimes, you can score a Butler Suite for as low as $350, which is hundreds of dollars lower than Butler Suites at newer Sandals like Saint Vincent or Royal Barbados.

Since Royal Plantation has always been about Butler service for a while, we can safely say that the entire staff here is awesome. They have been doing this for a few decades now, and butlers and waiters are often considered some of the best that Sandals has to offer. It also helps that the resort is small and compact, so the team knows Royal Plantation like the back of their hands and has a vast history of helping guests in any way they can.

This is also a resort that is extremely peaceful and romantic, and one of the quietest Sandals you will ever find. Just close your eyes and pay attention to the sound of birds and waves. It also attracts guests that are generally older and are looking for a serene setting with Butler service above all else. There’s even a private cove beach that is great to just sit down, grab a book and relax under the sun. “Relax” is, by the way, the right word to define this resort. If you want to check more activities and live shows, you could certainly hop on a complimentary shuttle and explore the nearby Sandals Ochi.

The resort offers only five on site restaurants, which might seem like you don’t get a lot of choices to choose from. However, Sandals Ochi sits just five minutes away, and Ochi is well known as being one of the biggest Sandals Resorts… ever! You can enjoy all 16 restaurants at Ochi at no additional cost, bringing your total dining options to 21.

Royal Plantation's main weakness is that there isn't much happening on site. Don't come here expecting energetic parties or dozens of different activities. The resort has fewer entertainment options compared to other Sandals properties, but that makes sense considering that the main purpose of this resort is to offer you a peaceful stay.
