Celebrity sits in the premium cruise line category, next to other names like Holland America. This is a cruise line that is more expensive than Carnival and Royal Caribbean, but significantly less than ultra-luxury lines like Regent Seven Seas or Seabourn. It elevates dining and staterooms, and brings an atmosphere that is way more peaceful than the one found on mainstream cruise lines, all while keeping prices manageable.

The revolutionary Edge Class ships (Celebrity Edge, Apex, Beyond, Ascent, and Xcel) are responsible for Celebrity’s jump in popularity. These ships feature innovations like the Magic Carpet (a floating platform on the ship's side that also serves as a bar) and the infinite verandas on most staterooms (floor to ceiling glass walls that give your room more indoor space).

Food is another area where Celebrity is above and beyond traditional cruise lines. The onboard buffet receives great reviews, with quality exceeding many competitors and tons of variety including salad bars, pizza, meat and sushi waiting for you. Many guests even prefer the excellent buffet over specialty restaurants!

Celebrity is present basically all over the globe, with a big presence in Europe, the Caribbean, Alaska, South America, Asia, and the Galápagos. They’re about to become even bigger in the next few years, by the way. Not that long ago, Celebrity announced plans for Celebrity River Cruises launching in 2027, with two sailing across Europe. Celebrity is an excellent choice if you want to go on a romantic cruise or a honeymoon and don’t want to pay thousands of dollars for a cruise. They have elegant and fancy ships, several cool touches and great food. As far as Premium Cruise Lines go, they are the best of the best.
