Castries, St. Lucia
For those that want to check some of the most beautiful vistas in Saint Lucia.
Sandals Regency La Toc carries a lot of history as the first Sandals in Saint Lucia. This resort launched way back in 1993 and, through the years, it was joined by Sandals Halcyon Beach and Sandals Grande St. Lucian. The younger brothers (or sisters?) were a very welcome addition, especially since free shuttles started connecting all three of them. This lets you basically visit and enjoy three resorts for the price of just one. Sandals Regency La Toc is full of charm, known for offering affordable rooms and some great views of the island.
La Toc’s defining characteristic is its huge hillside layout. That means that you get great views, even if the resort does require walking around and climbing stairs more often compared to other properties. But you know what, maybe that is good news after all the free food and drinks you get at Sandals. In fact, you do not even need to walk around if you do not feel like it, since golf carts move around taking guests from their rooms to the most popular areas. So yes, eat all the sushi you want, there will be a golf cart waiting for you.
Regency La Toc offers nine on site restaurants including Sandals favorites like Kimonos and Neptune's, and you also get access to dining at Sandals Halcyon Beach and Sandals Grande St. Lucian at no additional charge. These properties are about 30 and 45 minutes away respectively, bringing the total restaurant count to 27 throughout Saint Lucia. That is not too shabby, especially considering that you have basically infinite dining options if you stay in Saint Lucia for a week and have plenty of time to explore the island.
Golf fans will also appreciate complimentary green fees and transportation to Cap Estate Golf & Country Club, located just 25 minutes away, though club rentals, caddies and carts cost extra. Other than that, you get the usual activities included in a Sandals Resort, like scuba diving, snorkeling and kayaking.
The beach is better suited for relaxing in a rented cabana than swimming. The sand is slightly brown and the water can get rough sometimes. The good news is that the beach is private to Sandals Regency La Toc, so there will not be vendors trying to sell you... well, just about anything. The other good news? You can always head to Sandals Grande St. Lucian early in the morning and enjoy the gorgeous beach there!
You do take 60 to 90 minutes to get to Sandals Regency La Toc from Hewanorra International Airport, but complimentary transportation is provided by Sandals. You can also choose to upgrade your transportation method and rent a helicopter or a ferry boat if you want to arrive in style.
Sandals Regency La Toc is great and an awesome option if you want a quiet and peaceful Sandals Resort in Saint Lucia. It gives you access to all other Sandals, offers some great views and has a private beach, which is always a bonus. If you do not mind walking up and down a bit or hopping on golf carts, then you are going to love it here.
